So the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, I picked up this little girl and her daddy... ... in this beauty!! I worked really hard to get her. It took sweat and tears and a lot of arguing but SHE IS MINE!! I no longer endorse City Auto. The general manager was extremely nice and helpful. It just took a month of back and forths with the customer service rep to get to him. Anyway, it's all over and I have air conditioning and lots of other cool, neat gadgets + fuel efficiency in my Ford Fusion. I'm a big Dobbs Ford on Mt. Moriah fan. Kenny and Cash were two of the nicest people I have ever met ( even when I wasn't going to by the car). I recommend you go see them and when they sell you a car make sure you mention my name so I can get my kickback. :) They truly helped/dealth with me for about 2 weeks while I was handling City Auto. We have just been enjoying the Summer. Matt's been working around the house and doing little things here and there. Squeezing in golf when the rest of his - have jobs that don't have summer breaks- friends can join him. Like today. I get really jealous when I have to get up and go to work. UGH. Not fair. But he's good about gettin up and helping in the am and making my lunch! And dropping my lunch off to me in the rain when he makes it and I leave it on the table. Hadley's been super funny lately! This morning Matt told her she needed to eat her breakfast before we left for school and she responded with, "are you kiddin me?"!! So funny. If you thought she had a personality before, whoa, you should see her now. She is still a little string bean weighing in at about 28lbs and legs for days. Her Spanish has really started to develope now that she is in an actual Pre-K class. Sometimes it's hard for us(me) to understand her especially if its a word we never taught her in English first. Her new teacher barely speaks English. Usually a little kid in the class will translate for me! Crazy, I know. But Hadley LOVES Yolanda. They obvisiously commnicate just fine. I realize I'm due for some updated pictures. It's on my list. Will post soon! Not sure why but when I post this blog, it turns into one solid paragraph. Sorry.

one for the gmas

The almost whole Scott/Sugg clan loaded up and headed to Oklahoma earlier this month. I say almost because Kacey had to stay and work. Someone has to support this family. We went to visit the other half of our family in Tuttle.
8 hours later we made it!

Isn't he just handsome.
Nanny P! It definitely doesn't look like it in this picture but Had could barely stand it she was so excited to go to Nanny P's.
Hadley with Abby and Drake

This picture and the two below are from this weekend. Saturday morning we went for a 2 1/2 hour walk around our neighborhood. We stopped at the farmers market, the winter market, 2 garage sales, and the park. It was a beautiful morning with all the neighbors out and about. We took our time and strolled around. I say all this not because anyone really cares what we did or that we stroll around on many Saturdays but because I don't always appreciate my neighborhood or give it the praise it deserves. Sometimes hoodlings wonder around creating problems for our neighbors and in turn give our hood a bad rap. I wish I would have taken more pics from Sat. morning because it was a picturesque Cooper Young morning/afternoon. Thank you to the thriving businesses, restaurants, markets, and neighbors for allowing my family and to enjoy a warm Sat. morning. :)
Just really felt like getting it all out there you know. So in 10 years when I look back on this blog, I'm going to remember how much fun Saturday March 24, 2012 really was. Probably should put a cork in the wine.

Nothing much going on

One of my lastest projects is organizing my pictures to create books for each year. I ran into a situation with a defective jump drive and was told that I may loose most of 2009 and 2010 pictures. After I picked myself off the floor, I begged/ordered our tech guy at work to do something about it. And he did!! yeah! Every picture was recovered. I went and bought several new jump drives to store my pictures in serveral places. So today I plugged one of the drives in to post a new blog with the newest pictures and realized I have no new pictures since New Orleans. How sad. We just haven't been doing much of anything lately. We have really enjoyed the calm and quiet these past few weeks and weekends.  We did go to the zoo last weekend to see the dinosaur exhibit. Had loved it because her classed just wrapped up their lessons on dinosaurs. We are leaving for Oklahoma in the morning to visit with the fam. I will definitely take lots of picture this weekend!

Below are just a few of the random pics taken since Christmas that are only blog worthy when there is nothing else to post!

 Miss fashionista!

My friend Becky's little man, Owen, turned 1 in February! He is one of the happiest little boys I've seen especially on his first birthday!
                                                  Had, too thoroughly enjoyed herself
                                                             hard at work

Hadley and I made Matt a homemade cookie cake for Valentines Day. Yeah and it was not good but its the thought that counts. Right?!

New Orleans for an adult weekender! We didn't spend the entire weekend in the graveyard. Most of these pictures are from walking around during the day :)

Christmas + other fun!

Psychedelic birdhoused Hadley painted for aunts and uncles!! No bird in their right mind would live here but they were super fun to make.

Her Thomas and Friends wooden train set Santa brought.

The Lareau girls got a keyboard and microphones from Santa. Between the instruments, 3 girlie girls and attempted adult conversation, loud would be an understatement.

We slipped away for a bit to head down to the river. Matt caught a fish and let Hadley "tickle" it before he threw it back. :)

We had Christmas with the Scotts on the 22nd and left for Arkansas on the 23rd. We had a great Christmas this year at both locations. This was the first year Had knew exactly what was going on. It was really cute to see her light up when we would count down to Christmas morning. We will work on a giving heart next year because she definitely wanted every single present to be for her. O well. She's only 2. Christmas morning she woke up and went downstairs and saw her Choo Choo train she had asked Santa for! She started yelling and jumping up and down. :) I can only imagine what next year will be like.

We got back from Arkansas and had to get back to the grind. We did get to go to a birthday party at the skating ring! I will just tell you that NOTHING about the skating ring has changed since I was in middle school. I'm pretty sure it was more fun for the adults than it was for the kids.

Yes they make skates small enough for 2 year olds.

Had's skates and my skates. :) I only got her to go around once. But she did it. If I hadn't have fallen on top of her, we might have been able to go around again. It was fun regardless. And the skates are just too cute.
