Much needed update
FYI, It took me a minute to remember my password to log in to my google account. That's how long it's been since my last post. Anyway, Hadley's crawling around and getting into everything. She crawls and scoots around to things I didn't even know existed in our house. My little 7 month old is full of fruit and veggies, except green veggies. She won't even let the spoon get near her mouth if it's green. Our day begins at about 6:30 in the morning, which is super early for me, but so much fun. Hadley is always in the best mood when she wakes up and it's quite contagious.

Matt and I celebrated our 1st anniversary a few weeks ago. Pictured here before we went to dinner with our 7 month old. Don't do the math it won't add up. We had a busy first year, but a darn good one! I adore my husband and family!

Busy is an understatment
Before, this darling child was seated in the chair, nicely playing with toys.
After.....
I walked around the corner for no longer than 15 seconds, turn around, and she has climbed out of the chair and is trying to climb back in. Most amazing fact, Hadley never hit the floor. How does one do that and not hit the floor? Oh Mom, how and most importantly why, did you have two of us so close in age? Yes, I will strap her in from now on.

I Heart the Fall!
Numero uno reason the Suggs love the fall......TEXAS football. Other reasons include fantastic weather (non rainy days), lazy rainy days, pumpkins, gorgeous leaves, Thanksgiving and the Christmas count begins! Only 63 more days til good ole Santa Claus. Back to football. Matt and Hadley usually hang out for at least a few of the games before Matt is off to work on a deck for some friends. Hadley is only allowed to wear her Texas outfit on Saturdays.
Little pregame chat discussing the usual
Wondering if Texas can pull out a win over Oklahoma. To my OU peeps, I was under strick rule not to let Hadley wear her OU outfit. I'll need reinforcements next year to keep Matt away while Hadley gets dressed.
At 5 1/2 months she's a mover and a doer. Hadley doesn't stop moving or talking until she falls asleep. She loves ALL the new foods we've tried which include rice cereal, sweet potatoes, carrots and peas. Carrots are definitely her favorite followed very closely by green peas. Hadley girl rolls over and over and over again and would really appreciate if she could roll back to that toy that she just rolled away from. She is trying really hard to sit up all by herself without slowly falling forward. She's just soo much more fun and entertaining now!

Howdy
I pretty sure the stork that dropped Hadley off, dropped off a new baby about a week ago. She has completely changed. It hasn't been bad, just tough trying to figure her out while she is teething. Oh yeah! It doesn't help that I have been told and now see for myself, Hadley is the spitting image of Matt and I will NEVER figure him out. (love you hunny) Here's how the conversation went with Hadley's teacher Algonda and I.
Algonda: What is Hadley like at home? Is she quiet?
Me: Well no not really. She talks and laughs and plays in the morning. At night we are a little more settled because she goes to bed fairly early. Why?
Algonda: Well, we really try and play with her and try to get her to smile and she's just so serious. And when we put her on the mat to play with the other kids, she doesn't seem to like it and would rather play in her crib by herself.
Me: that would be my husbands personality
My thoughts as soon as I got to the car: OMG. I would have a child that has no desire to be social. I'm never going to have anyone to hang out with. I'm going to lose this game of child rearing if the next kid isn't like me.
Matt's thoughts when I told him later: That's what I'm talking about!
But she sure is cute!
There isn't a whole lot thats been happening. Matt's girls team is having a pretty good season. Last Friday night, they tied Henry County 1-1, with a goal from Gtown in the last few minutes.

Tournament
As mentioned previously, Hadley and I traveled to east Tennessee with Matt for one of his soccer tournaments with the Germantown girls. Disappointingly, my camera ran out of battery before we even left the hotel for his second of four games. :( I did get to capture a few shots of Hadley and Matt in the room Sat. morning.
This is what happens when your stuck in a hotel room with extra time on your hands.
The fact that they are both looking at the camera at the same time is AMAZING! What a pair! I dare them not to smile. Hadley got to sport her outfit that one of the mom's on Matt's team bought for her. Germantown's colors are red and white just in case you didn't catch that. This was before their second game which they ended up losing. But, they only lost by two goals to the team that hosted the tournament and is ranked top 10 in the state. Germantown won their third and fourth games of the weekend posting a 2-1-1 record for the weekend which was awesome. The girls and Matt did better than anyone could have expected. We're just so proud.
My cousin Summer is a freshman at Briarcrest and her team also played this weekend. In their off time she, my aunt and uncle, and some of the other Briarcrest girls cheered on Germantown with Hadley and I. Hadley loves her Summie! Great job this weekend Summer!

Hi!
We had to come all the way to the Marriott in Knoxville, TN to get internet this time. Oh, the distances we travel to document our precious little Hadley.
Although desperate, don't think I would travel seven hours just for internet. We are in KnoxVegas this weekend to cheer on the Germantown Lady Red Devils soccer team. I think we have cheered more for dad than the actual team though. He's really good at coaching. They tied their game last night 0- 0 against a team from Kentucky. They are about to play their next game here in about an hour or so. (don't really know, just along for the ride) I'll post more on the weekend later. Just thought I would take advantage of the free internet. Happy Saturday!
