Family Time

Since being accepted into the Sugg family and having gotten to know them, I have learned a few things. One thing in particular is that when you don't want to go somewhere relatively important like church or school, you request to have family time instead. For example Matt, Hadley, and I have family time every Sunday morning and instead of church we sleep in, have breakfast, hang out in our pjs, etc. You get it. So, Hadley thought it would be wise to have family time this morning with her aunt, cousin, and gma instead of going to school. Kate took these pics this morning. Thanks for the updated pics. (which I stole sorry)and thanks to Kate, Keddie, and Mer for a fabulous morning! :)

It's been a while

So sorry about that. There just isn't enough time in the day. Anyway.....nothing much has changed. Hadley is weighing in at 10 lbs and 13 ounces. She is smiling and laughing and having all kinds of fun. She refuses to sleep during the day, but sleeps like champ at night, so its all cool. Hadley had her first sleep over last night. (reason why I have alot of energy today) Matt and I enjoyed some much need time out with friends while Hadley spent some time with my mom and dad. I'll stop now so you can look at the pictures. We know thats why you all (Keddie) read the blog right! Happy Funday!
Okay so maybe not all smiles, but still so cute. So sad but so cute.
She and Colonel Stan had a great conversation. They really have a lot in common.

Where the wind comes sweeping down the plain....

Hadley took her first road trip to Tuttle, Oklahoma. Don't waste your time looking for it on a map, its not listed. For peace of mind, its about 30 minutes outside of Oklahoma City. Despite location, we had a blast. With 16 total hours of driving time, Hadley slept about 15 total hours. She was a dream to road trip with. Thankfully. It was such a blessing to get out of Memphis and visit with missed family members. Hadley got to see her great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends. Below is a picture of Hadley being adored by her poppy. Her nanny is not pictured because she, if I had to guess, is in the kitchen preparing for the multitudes that stopped by to visit. Ahh, the joy of small towns!

Nanny, your delicious meals were very much appreciated. Thank you! I tried to add another photo of Hadley and her great cousins Drake, Alexis, and Abbey, but obviously that didn't work out. (thats what you get for stolen internet access) Trust me they are precious. Thanks to everyone for making our visit fabulous! We miss you already.

Happy Father's Day!

Why Hadley loves her daddy....
1. He teaches her how to kill squirrels (note: I said teaches. Matt hasn't actually killed the vegetable, fruit, herb eating squirrels yet - Matt: 0 vs. squirrels: alot)

2. She thinks its funny when he keeps changing her diaper, bathing her, & changing her clothes because he thinks she smells like poop and he can't figure out why. Come to find out while he was changing her diaper, she had pooped on him! HILARIOUS!

Most importantly...
3. He's a great man! As we speak, Matt is outside in the 101 degree heat working on a deck to bring home some extra cash for the summer!

We can't forget about Hadley's Papa Butch and Papa David. They are equally as good grandpas as they are dads! Thanks for everything you do. Happy Father's Day! Love you guys!

Bronzing Beauty

Thanks to our dear friend Becky, Hadley can now get her tan on! Becky bought her the proper sunbathing attire Hadley is sporting in the picture. I wasn't exactly sure how a day at the pool would go with an infant. As shown above, she was adorable and it couldn't have gone better. What I thought would be a longer drive to get there, than actual time spent chilling poolside, turned into a great day with the girls. Hadley was hooked up with an outdoor fan, shade, and a big comfy towel for her to sleep on and most importantly poolside attention whenever she woke up. Great for mom as well because I got to spend some much needed time out in the sun! Sweet summer time!

A perfect pair!

I just couldn't resist the imfamous child sleeping on parent picture! This is a typical afternoon when Matt gets home. Honestly, he needs his afternoon nap more than she does.
Hadley is growing like crazy. Our little miss piggy has gained some lbs. Or should I say ozs in her case. The child has definitely inherited mine and Matt's appetite. She is filling out in every direction. Hadley, also, got her first real bath the other day. For those of you who might be thinking she is a little small for a bath in the tub, you should have smelled her. Trust me. Times called for more than just a sponge bath.

We want to send a shout out to all our friends and family who have helped out these past two almost three weeks. Matt, Hadley, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the visits, diners, gifts, emails, calls, etc. I truly understand the whole "it takes a village to raise a child" concept. Thanks yall!

Hadley Elizabeth has made her debut!

I told you I would have something exciting. Sorry it took so long. Our dear precious daughter was born on Monday May 11. She weighed 6 pounds and 8 ounces. She took her precious time coming into this world (who would think Matt and I would have a stubborn baby). She is by far the most adorable addition to our home. Miss Hadley already has distinct characteristics. She has her momma's nose and her daddy's ginormous hands and feet. She is the light of her daddy's life. I will try my best to post more often as our little Hadley grows!
